End the Seating Free-For-All With Place Cards
A wedding reception where an open and relaxed first come, first served seating arrangement occurs, rarely ends well. Invariably someone leaves feeling disgruntled, an avoidable blemish on what should be a perfect day.
When investing in wedding favors, place cards should be high on the list to avoid just such a blemish.
Take the scenario of family guests who have traveled from a far distance to attend your special day. Unavoidably delayed, whether due to flight delays, car breakdowns, or simply getting lost on the way to the wedding, they arrive harried and late. They enter the reception hall, only to find that there are no seats available near the bride and groom, and no group seating available that can house them all. Now they are relegated to the back of the room to sit amongst strangers.
A scenario easily avoided with the simple use of place cards. From elegant to simple, fancy to fun, place cards take the guessing game out of where guests should sit and avoid all the indecision about whom they should (or should not) sit with.
An extra task on an already daunting list, creating a seating plan can be shared with your attendants and a few family members. The results will be worth it. A good seating plan avoids a rush for the “good seats”, avoids elderly relatives having to choose seats where they can not see or hear anything, and avoids the last few guests wandering around searching for an elusive seat like unpopular kids in a lunchroom.
Enhance your place cards with the use of decorative place card holders and you get a three in one deal: assurance that your place cards will not be blown away or misplaced; an added decoration to adorn your tables; and a wedding favor that your loved ones can take with them when they go.
Place cards and coordinating holders create a win-win situation for any bridal couple and keeps the day as it should be. Perfect.
