All the Games People Play

Everyone knows of the crowd favorite of banging spoons on glassware to get the Bride and Groom to kiss, but now there is a new twist on an old favorite to make the kissing game a little more challenging. A perfect way to rein in those who can't stand to see the Bride and Groom eat their meal in peace.

Welcome the Trivia Kissing Game, a game in which trivia questions are created about the Bride and Groom and placed on index cards to be given to the DJ or MC. Then, every time a guest wants the bridal couple to kiss, he or she would yell out "trivia" and the holder of the cards would then ask the guest one of the prepared trivia questions.

If the question is answered correctly, the Bride and Groom do the inevitable and kiss. Hopefully this occurs after they have had a chance to have a bite or two while the questions are being asked. If the guest answers incorrectly the Bride and Groom do not kiss, obviously.

Some possible ideas for guests who answer incorrectly could be: have them give a piece of marital advice to the Bride and Groom, or have them sing a song with the word love in it. You can even make the trivia answerer's entire table get up and sing for answering a question incorrectly. This is sure to earn them a few disgruntled looks from the other wedding guests at their table.

Possible trivia questions could include: the middle names of the bridal couple, where they met, how the bride and groom got engaged, or where they are going on their honeymoon. The number of questions are only limited by your level of knowledge of the couple.

Put an extra twist on the game by doing it Jeopardy style, with the trivia card holder reading the answer and the wedding guests answering in the form of a question.

Whichever way you choose to play, chances are everyone will have a great wedding favor to take home with them, more knowledge about the Bride and Groom, and/or a special story of how they got up and danced in front of a crowd of people at the last wedding they went to.
