Always Be Prepared
Torn hems, snags, headaches and heartburn can mar an otherwise perfect wedding day.
To be prepared for almost any situation create a handy pre packed wedding emergency kit. This wedding accessory should be entrusted to a close member of the family who will ensure that you are ready for anything.
To help with falling hems, broken zippers, bra straps, and falling strapless dresses the must haves are safety pins in a variety of sizes and dual sided tape. Other clothing lifesavers could include a small sewing kit, static guard, and hem tape.
To help with covering stains on your wedding dress, consider carrying white chalk or talcum powder. These items help to MASK stains until your dress can be cleaned. For most stains gently dab at the stain with a clean white cloth, DO NOT RUB. This will help remove the excess food, drink, and makeup. Then sprinkle the talcum powder onto the stain, let it sit for 10 minutes then shake the excess off. Consider leaving the stain alone for the drycleaner to remove if it is not noticeable.
Additional items you should have in your emergency kit are facial tissues/handkerchief, eye drops, a pain reliever, and antacids. These will benefit everyone from the teary eyed bride to a groomsman who was up a little late the night before the wedding. Either way, you will be prepared with your emergency kit.
Some additional items you may also want to consider in your kit are breath mints, anti-persperant, a bottle of hand sanitizer or handy wipes.
You may also want to carry on your person some of your make up for touch ups either in a bridal purse or a garter pouch you can wear.
