A Wedding At Home

Homestyle weddings are one of the latest trends when holding a smaller wedding. Rather than invest in an expensive reception location to hold their wedding, more and more bridal couples are choosing to invest in the one location where they will see value for their money; their own home.

Investing in home renovations, both inside and out, is a way to create a beautiful, romantic setting to host your own wedding while investing in you and your fiance's future.

Front rooms are a favorite amongst home-wedding hosts as the place to hold the ceremony and to offer hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Renovations involve removing walls to make space for a large and inviting front room, the addition of a fireplace orsunroom, or even a wide sweeping staircase. All of these are perfect wedding renovations that provide for wedding festivities and can enhance your home.

Depending on the capacity and size, choosing to hold your wedding in your own home may limit the number of guests you can invite, but moving things outdoors to a landscaped yard, or on a deck, can really increase the numbers you can cater to. Just be sure to rent some special occasion tents that give your outdoor wedding an indoor feel while protecting your guests from inclement weather.

Wedding costs can run high. No matter what location you ultimately choose, have no regrets about the money you are spending by spending a little of it on yourself and your new marital home.
