Centerpiece Giveaways

Instead of investing in smaller, less expensive wedding favors for every guest on your invitation list, a trend amongst bridal couples is to give away one large favor. More specifically, to give away the centrepieces as the ultimate wedding favor. By giving the guests a centrepiece, it allows for the perfect opportunity to inject some extra fun into the reception.

Whether you choose a candle lantern, a large bouquet of flowers in a decorative vase, heart-shaped Topiary trees, or elaborate candle displays, the money you save on smaller individual favors can be spent on something truly magnificent.

When deciding who should be the recipient of these centrepieces, the sky is the limit. Just like any party game, anything that keeps the allocation fair, festive and fun is fair game. The simplest method for a giveaway is to place a colored dot under an unsuspecting guest's chair. Midway through the evening, you can make the surprise announcement and delight each table with a recipient.

Another idea is to make a game of it. Whether you place a formal trivia questionnaire at each guest's place setting, giving the centrepiece to the guest at each table with the highest score, challenging each table to a karaoke contest, or playing a rousing game of musical chairs, playing a game with your guests is a great way to break the ice between people who may never have met.

For those who would like to give a favor to every guest, you can still do the centrepiece giveaway while providing simple mints or chocolates instead of a more elaborate favor.
