An Enviable Escort Card

Escort cards are a unique and wonderful way to let guests know your wedding seating arrangement. Whereas placecards let guests know of their assigned seat at a table, an escort card lets guest know which table they are assigned to in the first place.

Not only can escort cards add to the presentation table's style, they can also function as an addition to the overall ambiance of the wedding's decor and centerpieces, an icebreaker for guests and the wedding favors.

Wrap a favor boxed sampling of mints or chocolates in an escort card for guests to take to the table with them. Use small reusable frames with guests name and table assignments inserted or create a table of decorative votive candles with the guest's name and their assignment outlined on them in clear velum.

Other interesting combination escort card and favor ideas include:
* Bud vases, holding a simple floral arrangement, with escort cards attached.
* Small pumpkins, apples or seasonably appropriate produce, with escort cards attached.
* Seed packets imprinted with the guest's name and table assignment and displayed on a soft green bed of moss or wheat-grass. It is also the perfect favor for a "Green" wedding.
* Small vases or glass jars filled with candy to match the wedding color theme with escort card attached. To make them a truly memorable favor, set up a candy buffet to one side for guests to refill them with at the end of the night to take home.

Even if you choose to separate your escort cards from your favors, you can still create a very impactful display. Hang the cards from a potted tree or plant's branches, or pin them directly to a tree for an outdoor wedding. For a beach themed wedding prop cards up in a tray of sand, or string up a piece of ribbon or twine and attach cards with decorative clips or clothespins.

The possibilities of displays and favor combinations with escort cards are endless. Keep your theme in mind and let your imagination run wild as you create an enviable escort card display.
