Pre-Wedding Shutters

Those who believe in the age old tradition of the bride and groom not seeing each other before the wedding ceremony would find it difficult to take part in the latest photography trend. But for those willing to bend the rules, taking their wedding photographs before the ceremony can free up their wedding day schedule, calm their pre-wedding jitters, and create an air of incredible intimacy.

Usually taken about three hours before the ceremony is set to begin, pre-wedding photographs benefits include eliminating the three hour window that usually exists between the ceremony and the reception. A time that guests feel pressure to entertain themselves for and a time that bridal couples feel pressure to hurry up their photographs and return as quickly as possible to their waiting guests.

To begin, the bride and groom should be sequestered away from each other until moments before the photograph session begin. This not only allows the photographer to set each individual up in the best position to capture the moment when they see each for the first time, it also allows the bride and groom a chance to experience the moment far away from the wedding crowd. It is a moment that is much easier to capture when the bride and groom are not on opposite ends of an aisle.

Once the moment is captured, the photographer will then leave the couple alone for a few moments to connect and prepare for the rest of their day together. If the photographer is ready to go right after such a connection he will be sure to get beautiful candid shots that will truly capture the emotion of the day.

After an hour of photographs with just the bride and groom, the time will be right for the immediate family and wedding party to have their photographs taken alongside the bridal couple, with extended family and friends arriving an hour after that for their inclusion in the photographs.
This method works especially well with the junior members of your bridal party who after a long day can be less than cooperative for photographers.

If you're looking for a way to boost the intimacy of both your wedding and your photographs and you can stand to flout superstition then having your photographs done before your wedding is definitely the way to calm your pre-wedding shutter issues.
