The Gift of a Lifetime

You've been together for years. Not only do you have all the dishes, silverware and stemware two people could ever possibly need, you have also, or are about to amalgamate two households and have already chosen the best of the best from the fine collection of things you both brought with you into the relationship.

You have toyed with the idea of writing no gifts in bold dark lettering to discourage the amalgamating of even more stemware. So what do eager guests who wish to contribute to your happy day get the couple who have everything? Why a honeymoon of course.

Today's travel agents savvy to the dilemma faced by many modern couples, are now offering travel registries. Bridal couples can list their airfare, hotel, car rental, as well as a number of extras and adventures they can have while on their honeymoon. Caring friends and relatives can choose (just as with a china set) to get the whole thing, or simply to contribute to a portion of it.

After contributing to the registry each guest would receive a card so they could personalize their gift, and maybe write a line or two as to why they chose that particular item. A gift of this style not only sends a guests best wishes to the bridal couple it also allows them to have the trip of a lifetime. A win win situation, it not only gives guests a chance to contribute to something they know the bride and groom will love and appreciate, it also is a great way for bridal couples to get their honeymoon taken care of without seeming crass or greedy.

Hot Air balloon rides, a bottle of champagne delivered to the room, a room upgrade, or his and her massages, just as with a regular registry a honeymoon registry is your chance to dream and wish and for your guests to give you something they absolutely know will fit.
