"After reading prior reviews I was skeptical about buying this piece. But once it arrived, I loved it! I ordered the stand in "walnut brown" and you can clearly read the writing etched into it. I've had at least 3 friends who've come over and asked me where I got it because they want one for their cake topper. So don't be put off by some of the bad reviews. If you want it, get it! "

"The engraving in the wood base is almost invisible to the eye. the engraving does not stand out as it depicts in the picture. I ordered the maple colored one and I had to have the inscription painted. "
